The Redwoods were definitely the highlight of our trip and gave us the spiritual rejuvenation that we needed in order to justify missing church for the next 3 months while in Turks and Caicos. For those of you looking for a good trip and that can’t afford to come visit us at our remote little island I recommend paying a visit to mother nature and seeing the most amazing wonders on this earth. The only drawback to the Redwood forest is that Ms. Forest Ranger charged us $20 a night to sleep in our tent and all I could think about that night was the song “this land is your land, this land is my land, from the Redwood forest…” That song doesn’t hold up anymore, this land belongs to the government.

Going Coastal
Our road trip was pretty fun. I say pretty because riding in a car for 8-10 hours every day for over a week with only one other passenger can get a little tiresome. (I need to remind all of the readers that Brynn and I have not spent more than five hours apart total for over a month. We are both graduated from college, jobless, live with our parents, and are severely inactive due to my debilitating church ball incident.) We set off from Utah last Monday and headed up to Lake Tahoe, through California to the Redwood forest, and then along the Oregon coast. From there we headed to Portland down through Boise and back to Utah . The whole trip lasted 8 days.

Damn government. Always meddling.
I think brynnstar should use her other nickname "brynard." I think it rolls off the tough better, and that brynnstar name reminds me of an old nintendo game. Actually, isn't your nickname from an old video game? Anyways, I hate to think that there are places in this world where you have to pay money to sleep on the ground.
