tooth
Have any of you ever had a toothache? I can now say that I have and wow, it is one of the most unpleasant experiences. Last week I had this pounding toothache that spread into my eye and pretty much made the whole left side of my head throb with every heartbeat. I spent a few nights sitting on the couch continually rinsing my mouth with ice water, fully loaded with ibuprofen and Tylenol, writhing around wondering why in the hell nothing is taking the pain away. I finally threw in the towel and went to see the dentist here in good ol’ Grand Turk. The dental office was just a hint shy of spectacular with water stained ceiling tiles, the tiled floor covered with dirt and stains and a receptionist that wouldn’t give me the time of day. Finally the hygienist came out and had me fill out a paper and then ushered me in to the dental room all the while wearing the same pair of latex gloves. Luckily she never put her hands near my mouth. The dentist did put new gloves on when she came in; she was an old lady from Jamaica and there was definitely a difficult language barrier. I got an x-ray and the Jamaican female dentist said I need to get a root canal, yippee. Brynn, my patient and loving wife, and I ended up flying to Provodenciales, a bigger and more populated island nearby and I got part one of a root canal by a dentist from England. I guess these things have to be done in a two-step process so I am supposed to return in the next couple of weeks to have the rest of the procedure. Brynn and I decided that we would get this done when we fly home around August 15. Yes folks, it’s pretty much official, we will be coming home sometime mid August to begin our real lives as regular people.

Dude, I feel horrible for you. Do you want me to take my shirt off to make you feel better? The offer is on the table. Sorry about the root canal. I blame the lingering effects of Dolly Guarana, as this led me to receiving several thousand dollars of dental work. Anyway, we look forward to having you back in the mix, and perhaps the W.T.-apalooza will double as a welcome back party too.
Holy Cow. I don't know what to say. I thought I was the one with the bad luck. I am glad to have you guys back though. Hopefully the trip back goes smoothly.
I feel terrible about everything that has happened to you guys as well. You have received such the shaft with everything. It will be good to see you guys in Utah. We will have fun exchanging del sol stories and what not. I hope it's smooth sailing from here on out. Good luck to you guys.
