Boomshakalaka

I have a bad tooth, I have a crappy knee, and I’m on an island with one of the biggest reef chains in the world. I had to go diving. We have a friend here named Becky that is a Dive Master. She willingly took Brynn out and certified her to do a resort dive, which means you can go diving up to 30 feet under the supervision of a Dive Master. The three of us then went out to the edge of the reef wall and did an awesome dive. My tooth was pain free, Brynn did awesome, and we had an amazing time. The reef here is unbelievable. The reef had all the colors of a rainbow and housed fish of even more colors. We saw a wide array of fish, some huge, some very small, a few trumpet fish, a stingray, several big parrotfish, and a whole lot of other stuff that I could never name. The most amazing part of it all was how healthy the reef was. The coral was just like the pictures that you see in magazines. The best part about the whole thing is that Brynn loved the whole thing and is excited to get her open-water certification. I am glad she enjoyed her first dive and even more glad that my tooth didn’t explode when I ascended to the surface. Finally, a disaster free event. I wish that I could have taken pictures of the dive but I didn’t, I was able to find a few pictures on the internet of the same place we were diving.
