Let it roll

Hurricane →Tropical Storm → Tropical Depression → Nothing at all. What a waste of anticipation. Although a little nervous about the storm named Chris, Brynn and I were excited to get some action here in Grand Turk and be able to return home with some sweet stories about how hard it rained and how we lived through at least a tropical storm. Well, we keep watching the Weather Channel every hour on the :50 hoping the storm picks up speed and all we hear every hour since 8:50 this morning is that there is still a tropical depression 35 miles SW of Grand Turk that is moving 13 miles an hour and should give us a few inches of rain and some 30 mph winds. It is now after 4:00 pm and although it has been a little windier than usual we probably could have gone to the beach, enjoyed the sun, and jumped in the water for a while to cool off. Instead, in preparation for the storm we have sat in our house, watched TV, and have now just woken up from a two-hour nap. What is the deal? Why isn’t the storm coming? If it is moving 13 miles every hour why the heck is it in the same location all day and why aren’t we getting any effects. We want a little fun and excitement from this thing so we are asking everyone to cease their fasts and prayers, we had no idea our friends and family could have such an impact on the weather.
