Brynn and Nate to the rescue!

Yes this picture is a real picture taken by Nate, not just one off of the internet. The story behind this picture is actually pretty sad. We ended up staying in a ridiculously expensive hotel that caused Nate a fair amount of anger and frustration due to the poor and unfavorable accommodations. I think 95% of the price was for the view and 5% for the room. I also think that Paul Bunyon was staying upstairs, pacing back and forth all night long! I dealt with it, Nate got mad. The real kicker was when Nate found old food in the fridge. What could have been a romantic evening turned into a frustrating evening! Anyways back to the picture of the sea lion. To calm Nate down, we decided to walk down to the beach that was just below our hotel room. As we were walking we noticed that there was a sea lion lying on the beach. As we got closer we noticed that it wasn’t just lounging but dying! It had a huge wire wrapped around its fin. It was still alive and even looked up at us, but he was definitely one hurt sea lion. Of course Nate wanted a picture, and I started to cry! We called the cops to have them come save the little dude. The next morning the poor guy was still out there all dried up and barely breathing. The outcome is unknown. I think we were sent to that hotel to save the sea lion! The expensive room really doesn’t mean much in comparison to the life of one sea lion.
