Meltdown

I scream you scream Brynn screams for ice cream. Those of you that know Brynn, know that she could live on only cereal and ice cream. Friday she had an ice cream meltdown so we took $10 dollars to the port and tried to buy ice cream but it was $6.95, plus a 10% tax, plus tip. I just couldn’t bring myself to buy an ice cream for almost $8. I had to promise to Brynn that we would go to the grocery store and get some ice cream so that she could cool off and get her “fix.” We also rented a scooter yesterday so that we could explore the island and take some pictures. We got some entertaining stories during our trip so check back tomorrow for the update. Today Brynn and I had our first official church services which consisted of listening to BYU radio on satellite for about 30 minutes, doing some church stuff, then watching Dirty Dancing on the WB. We are going to go to a restaurant that has faster internet later today and hopefully update Brynn’s computer so that we can start using Skype to call our families and friends. I have no idea when it will be working but we will let you know when it does. I can feel myself starting to run out of ideas for the blog because our lives are becoming more and more monotonous so if you have any ideas or maybe some questions about us, the island, or our lives please let us know by posting a comment on this site or by emailing me or Brynn.

I think that you guys should just keep blogging about what you do every day. I have never lived on an island before that has really high prices so I find it fascinating.

I agree with Eric. What might seem boring and monotonous to you guys is quite facinating to us. I can't go outside and see roaming animals. I can't go swimming in Bearlake and see cool fish. I could rent a scooter and ride around Logan, but that would be lame. (We got are fill when Nate boaght a scooter anyways.) I'm sure that once that store opens up and you start running into a bunch of tourists everyday, you'll have plenty of stories to tell. As far as your lives being monotonous, try going to school for eight hours a day, everyday. There are only two girls in the classes as well, and one is married, and the other is my buddies sister and looks exactly like him with long hair. I guess what I'm trying to say is that you're not the only ones who lead monotonous lives right now. Why do you think I haven't started a blog? I guess we can always count on Tyler having some crazy stories to tell. Weird thing is, his life should be just as boring as the rest of ours if not more so. I guess the interesting stories come by being in the right place at the right time. (Or is it the right place at the wrong time, or the wrong place at the right time?)
