One of the great educators of our time, Steve Irwin, passed away today. He was filming a documentary in the Great Barrier Reef and was pierced in the heart by a stingray. If you would like to read more about this tragic story click here.
A tribute
Steve Irwin, what a guy.
He ran from the crocs just as fast as a fly.
He filled our minds with knowledge and facts,
And helped us see what the human species lacks.
Vertebrates and Invertebrates were all his friends,
They all stuck with him even until the end.
We will miss watching your show, our dear Steve.
I’m sure off Animal Planet you will never leave.

The last time someone died from a sting ray in Australia was 1945. I'm just saying that I think the animals have been plotting this for some time
For some reaonse I feel bad for the guy. Most famous people that die don't really grab my attention, but Steve was more like a normal guy who just happened to stumble on being famous.
