wanna play scissors, paper, stone?

No internet, no time, and no reason to post anything. I had a wondrous spree of daily, thought-out posts that lasted an entire week with virtually no comments, which caused a loss of interest in blogging. I apologize to the one or two that may have been yearning for more from the life of Nate and Brynn.
Because of the Looomiss debacle there will be no more life updates. I don’t want to take the risk of being fired or possibly having my identity stolen so I guess I am going to stick with more of a vague approach from now on. Because today is Monday and I am going back to my original idea of “Music and a Movie Mondays.”
Today I am going to focus on something that probably nobody cares about. Heck, it might not even be considered music. I have recently caught podcast fever. When I have a little extra time I go to the library and use their internet to download a bunch of talk radio shows that I enjoy. Most of these shows I discovered a few years back when I had to drive three or more hours a day for my job and I got hooked on talk radio. One of the shows I absolutely love is a Chicago based radio program that airs on NPR called “Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me.” The program is a satirical news quiz show with guest stars trying to answer questions about various news topics. I feel like I am learning something, the show is funny, and it keeps my brain active.
I also thoroughly enjoy a local talk show called RadioWest hosted by Doug Fabrizio. Doug is outstanding; I admire the way he interacts with those on his show, unbiased and genuinely interested. He is truly a master of inducing intelligent dialogue from his guests keeping everyone interested and involved.

For the movie…I have only seen a few in recent months including Flags of our Fathers and Edward Scissorhands. Flags of our Fathers was too long and dreadfully boring compared to other war movies so don’t waste your money. Edward Scissorhands was fun to watch because I hadn’t seen it in years but the story got a little boring towards the end and I became a bit restless. The only saving grace for Edward was the fantastic musical score written by Danny Elfman.

Doug is on 90.1 in Utah for those that prefer the radio (mom). His show airs sometime around 10:00 am, then later in the evening it is rebroadcasted.
