The name He-man, using two male connotaions does not make him more manly but the two words actually cancel each other out kind of like a double negative. His best friend is Man-at-Arms who bears a striking resemblence to Eric's friend Tom Selleck who lived with two other men in "Three Men and a Baby."
He-Man also has many of the same characteristics as a well known Italian icon that has been a leader in male modeling, Fabio.
His leader in all of the episodes is the so called Sorceress who is a supposed lady dressed in feathers that talks in a whispery forced high pitched voice. This outfit and personality traits remind me of other similar characters that are found in Brasil's carnival, whose pictures I did not want to look up.
There are other examples that I am refraining to mention but I feel that these suffice to show what He-Man's preferences are.

Man-at-Arms looks like Tom Selleck who was in the Movie "Three Men and a Baby," who live with 2 room mates, not gay guys. Fabio has never been an American icon, and you know that He-Man and the Sorceress have a thing for each other!!! He-Man is not gay!!!
Look at his eyebrows, he bleaches his hair and probably straightens it too. The only hetero man I know that straightens his hair is Norm.
It isn't He-Man's fault he was drawn that way. You also have to remember this cartoon came out in the eighties. Who didn't have crazy hair back then?
