I feel all puffy

A few nights ago I woke up with a burning itching sensation that not even John Madden’s Tough Actin' Tinactin could cure. I looked in the mirror at about 2:00 am to find several benign tumors on my face; two on my upper forehead, one between my eyebrows and another on my chin. I am attributing them to the usual culprit, the mosquito. I do not know why, but mosquitoes like me. I wonder if it is blood type or some other unknown substance that my body secretes but I have always seemed to attract the little blood-sucking insects. From as early as I can remember I have been plagued with some type of reaction that causes me to get good sized welts wherever I am bitten. The bites have never caused me to feel sick or short of breath which is associated with some allergic reactions but I do get a pretty strong itching/burning sensation from the bites and they stay swollen for quite some time after I am bitten. So anyway, let me just say I didn’t sleep very well the rest of the night. I did however, manage to take a few pictures during my restless night which are shown above and left. Last night I again woke up with a numb pain, this time in my lower lip. The swelling lasted most of the next day and although I did feel like I fit in a little better with the rest of the population here (85% black) it did cause me to have lightly slurred speech and a tendency to drool. Again, I was up most of the night and was able to also snap a few pictures of my swollen state, shown above. I hope you enjoy the pictures and know that I am now resolving to spray myself, face included, with Off every night before retiring to my bed.

That picture of your lip has to be one one of the funniest pictures I have seen in a while. You should have said you got in a bar fight with Patrick Swayze or something. I feel your pain though as I also seem to attract things that go bite in the nite.

Nate, I feel bad for you but I busted a gut laughing a la Will Smith swollen face. Remember I have the same problem. Not only do the mosquitos go feeding frenzy on me but I swell up too. Thanks for the laugh, hope your lumps go down, love, Dad.

I felt really bad for you when I looked at the pictures and figured that you were bitten by some foreign insect. Then I read your Dad's post and I started laughing because he didn't show much sympathy. Then I thought about the time when we all laughed about Skyler having that bump on his neck that we thought was a goiter. Moral of the story is to be careful.

Nate, what about some mosquitoe netting of some type? Sorry about the SKYP call. I talked to Julie on the phone and she said she has a hard time hearing and understanding too. The connection was not as good today when I was on. Have your facial humps gone down? How is the knee doing? We love you guys and hope some good things start to happen. Dad

I don't know you Nate but I am Laura's sister and I wanted to cry and also laugh for you at seeing the dreaded scene. Laura mentioned your adventure. Good Luck to you both. Looks like you'll need it.
