We're back to blogging!
What a week. We had a few visitors from the corporate offices of Del Sol come down this last week, which has kept us very busy. We started out the week with a completely empty store and by Friday we had put in all of the shelves, fixtures, register, and merchandise. Friday we were able to finish everything up by midday and so we slid open the garagelike doors and were surprised to see that it was pouring rain outside and there was a crowd huddled against the store. Most of the people ended up coming in and we had one of the best opening sales days that Del Sol has ever seen; we more than tripled our goal and were only open half the day. Our first real working day was quite fun and we all had a good time selling those famous color-changing t-shirts and accessories. We work with four other high school age employees that are from the island. They have been awesome to work with and are so excited about this whole experience. They are such hard workers and really added a lot to our success Friday. The next ship comes in Wednesday so we will have to wait until then to see if the Friday was just an anomaly. Brynn and I have been talking to the people that are over the internship program and they have said that we may be able to go somewhere else to manage sometime in August. We are still trying to decide if that is what we want to do or if we should come home and get my knee back to full health and start real lives. That is the update for today; we should be able to start posting more entries now that the store is finished and running.

I'm glad that you guys finally got to do so something. Sitting around is no good. Congratulations on the sales. Do you have internet at the store? Oh Yes, Happy Birthday this week Nate. If I remember right.
Happy birthday, Nate. It's good to hear the store is up and running. Good luck with everything.
