Downpour

When it rains it pours. I have never been in rain storms like I have witnessed here. One second it is sunny and the next second buckets of water are falling from the sky and in two to three minutes it is finished. Today as I was dozing lazily upstairs I heard it start to rain. I quickly arose from my daydream to shut all the windows in the house. I ran down stairs thinking that Nate would already be down there shutting the windows, but he was nowhere to be found. I sat puzzled for a moment but noticed that out on the deck was the garbage can that had been taken over by ants. By now I had put two and two together and realized that Nate had taken the garbage all the way over to the dumpster and that he was caught our in the downpour. I sat waiting for him to run back and remembered that he can’t run. Finally he appeared from around the bushes, soaking wet from head to toe. I couldn’t help but laugh my head off. The first words that escaped his mouth were “Man I wish that I could run!” I couldn’t resist pulling out the camera to catch this classic moment of being caught in a torrential downpour.

What else can happen to you Nate? There aren't any volcanoes close by are there. I think I'm going to start calling you Job. I have to admit I started laughing out loud when I read this. Definitely forwarding this to Julie. It reminds me of tracting on the mission. Walking out in the middle of no where and getting my suit coat plastered with "mud rain".
