Grand Turks Grand Opening
The more official Grand Opening of Grand Turk’s Del Sol was today. My knee has been causing me all sorts of grief since Saturday but I was able to still put on a good show today. I worked a little at the cash register and helped fold clothes and bag items as they were bought but I ended up spending a lot of my day on the floor dealing with customers. I really like working out on the floor trying to get people to buy more than what they need, I see it almost as a personal challenge. Sales, although not my favorite thing to do, is pretty entertaining and I kind of get a kick out of it. I would like to thank Jon for his outstanding sales training back in our Comcast days. I still feel guilty for talking all those poor saps into buying the platinum cable package that included every channel ever created when they could barely afford to feed themselves. We never stooped low enough to sell cable to an old lady without a T.V. but I will admit that we did do a little manipulating and unknowingly misled quite a few people about some extra charges. I have always tried to remove the blame from myself and think that it is their own fault for saying “yes” to a door-to-door salesman. Although we never received recognition I do think that Jon and I were some of the most influential employees that helped Comcast establish themselves in the Salt Lake area. At least I thought this was true until our sales company went bankrupt and refused to pay us our last paycheck.

Ahh, Comcaat. So many memories. Remember skipping out on work like every day to go play pool and we were still the best salesman of the crew. Come to think of it, I have gotten you some crappy jobs Nate. Except working at the Rainbow Snow of course. You got all the free snowcones you wanted in that one.
Remember Glen and his car?
