Ka-nee

All around my knee I have quite a bit of swelling, probably because I have been standing and walking a lot lately and because the temperature and humidity here is crazy high. On Saturday I felt some type of chunk floating around the medial side of my knee. I was moving it around when it slid across to the lateral side of my knee and caused me some excruciating pain. I was bedridden all that day because of the pain and then Sunday the “thing” moved back to the medial side of my knee which felt a little better. It has felt a little better but I have to be very careful when I walk because occasionally the “thing” slides down by my joint and causes scary bad pain and almost drops me. I have been in contact with my doctor and he has no idea what it could be. I went to the scary Grand Turk hospital to get an x-ray today and once again I couldn’t believe what a dumpy place it is. The only information I gave them was my name and birthday, I provided no doctor’s note and never had to show any type of identification. I paid $25 they took x-rays of my knee, developed them, handed them to me, then we left. The whole experience was pretty crazy and I hope that I never have to go there for a medical emergency. The x-ray tech and I didn’t see anything irregular in the x-rays, which means I probably don’t have metal or bone floating around in my knee. I don’t know if that is good or bad. I sent the x-rays to my doctor and posted them above so I guess I will just wait and see if he can find anything in the pictures that we didn’t and maybe he will give me some instruction of what I should do from here.
